Wild Harvesting
Wild harvesting is the act of harvesting natural resources direct from their native environments.
Redbud Remedies is deeply committed to the practice of sustainable wild harvesting techniques. Our goal is to positively and directly impact the ecosystem and ecology of the land where we harvest. Regarding our harvesting technique, all plant material is harvested using sustainable techniques. Over time, we have noticed that wild harvesting can positively impact the ecology of the botanicals we harvest and the environments that they grow in. If harvested properly, most plants, trees, and shrubs respond to non-intrusive pruning by putting on new growth. Redbud Remedies is committed to the health of Oregon forests, we hope to encourage a symbiotic relationship between our business and the natural environments where we wild harvest. Redbud Remedies will contribute five percent of the proceeds from the profits of all wild harvested products to help conserve, promote and manage Oregon forests. We are currently working with Friends of the Elk River Organization in Port Orford, Oregon to promote conservation and growth of Oregon forests and wildlife.
Our goal here at Redbud Remedies is to help raise awareness about the environment in which we live. One way to do this is to allow people the opportunity to have a multi-sensory experience with a truly natural product. The beauty of wild harvested goods is that they allow us to maintain an interaction with nature when we find ourselves stuck day to day in unnatural environments. Our Wild harvested bar soaps truly highlight the spectacular diversity of Flora and Fauna found in the state of Oregon. We have hand selected our wild harvested goods from various growing regions in the state and we believe that we have captured the essence of the beautiful state of Oregon. We hope you enjoy these products as much as we have enjoyed the process of wild crafting them for you.
